Guarding the dinner.

Timothy - Michael guarding the dinner. We are now at the point where I can leave him that close to the food and trust him not to touch it, that's provided I am in the room. I think it would probably be to tempting if there was no one around. This is the sort of training we are doing these days, it's just basically reinforcing things that he has already learnt. Just in case someone is thinking I'm a cruel tease I will add that apart from the usual praise he did get a nice bit of fish for his trouble.

My firth walk in the hills with Timmy.

Yesterday Timothy - Michael and I went for a walk in the Peak District which isn't to far away from where we live. It was a bitterly cold day but that was good as it meant it was quiet which is how I would have prefered it for our first day out. It gave me chance to see how he would react to things. There were no real problems as such once we arrived, the hardest thing was to keep him focused on the trail rather than the sheep. The car was a probelm in that he didn't choose t...o go in but once he was in he wasn't too upset about it so I'm hoping after a few trips he will see that only good comes from going in the car. After the walk, which was eight miles in length we had time to go and visit my parents where we stayed until the evening before traveling home which is mostly by motorway and he settled down quite well while on the motorway, he seems more unsettled when stopping and starting. So now I want to go every couple of weeks or so to keep the momentum going.

Some pictures from our first walk together.

Favourite Toy.

Timoth - Michael loves his football and will sit with it when not chasing it.
